According to statistics from builtWith, there are more than 3.5M active websites that installed Visual Composer. I thought that I would let you know as it may be a helpful troubleshooting point if you have someone else that reports a similar issue. It also comes with many premium themes, and is a major selling point with these themes.

Was it simply that the MailChimp for WooCommerce plugin was the issue or did it just cause a conflict with Salient/Visual Composer? I don't know. I then upgraded again to Salient 7.6 and the latest Visual Composer.įor about the last hour I have not had any CPU/bandwidth issues so it seems that I may finally have resolved this. I disabled that plugin and immediately the problem disappeared. I then found some obscure references about this problem occurring with one of the MailChimp plugins - specifically MailChimp for WooCommerce. I realized that I had also setup MailChimp. However, I tried to think of any changes that I had made at about the same time that I upgraded to Salient 7.6. I even rolled Salient back to a previous version, etc. I tried lots and lots of things (and pulled out lots and lots of hair). However, I think that I may finally have found the culprit. Thanks for your suggestion which I tried but alas it did not work. I could activate/deactivate the plugin each time I want to use the visual composer but that would not be a particularly elegant or practical solutionĭo you have any recommendations that would assist me in resolving this problem.? When I disable the plugin, this activity ceases. I have attached a screenshot from my server C-Panel that shows the same action being requested repeatedly. It seems that the plugin causes something to go into a loop. If I reactivate the plugin it seems OK but if I make any changes to the site then the CPU usage goes through the roof again. When I disable it then the issue goes away. After extensive troubleshooting, I have found that the problem seems to be related to the above plugin. I was getting very high bandwidth and 98-100% CPU usage on my server. Thank you for your hard work on this product.Īfter updating Salient to version 7.6 about a month ago, I am having problems that I have narrowed down to the Visual Composer Plugin 4.12.1 It was recommended by a friend and I must say that I have found it to be excellent. I've been using Salient over the past few months to set up a website.
